How we do it
5 steps to beautiful Paving & Driveways
Sub Base & Sand
Ministry of Transport type one sub base is used on all our driveways and then compacteddown using a 1 tonne vibrating roller. River sand is then screeded and compacted down; this cushions and spreads the load as well as providing a firm flat base for the blocks to be laid.
Block Work
We then install the blocks laid by hand in the pattern, colours and border of your choice. All edgings, manholes, and gullies are oncreted into place before final compaction.
Drainage
Channels and gullies will be installed where neccessary to ensure maximum drainage.
Paving & Driveway Completion
All block work is brushed with kiln dried sand and compacted down. We do this twice to ensure perfect stability, making the driveway ready to be used.
Aftercare
To keep your driveway looking like the day it was laid we recommend you brush in kiln dried sand periodically to keep things looking tip top.
